Description
Quest Equine Gel can treat a variety of parasites in horses and ponies. Containing the drug Moxidectin, this dewormer is effective against bots, large mouth stomach worms, hairworms, pinworms, ascarids, encysted cyathostomes, small strongyles and large strongyles. It's formulated as a gel in an easy-to-use, pre-filled syringe. Safe for ages 6 months and older.How it Works
This gel interferes with chloride channel-mediated neurotransmission in parasites. This causes parasite paralysis and subsequent elimination. Because Moxidectin has no injurious effects on the nervous system of mammals, this medication is safe for ponies and horses.
Special Precautions
For optimal parasite control, all ponies and horses should be involved in a comprehensive treatment plan, especially foals, stallions, broodmares, and high-performance horses.
